I'm thinking of starting a club that deals with the need for music in schools. Except I'm not sure what we'd talk about or what other activities we'd do besides fundraising for schools who need money for their music programs. Any ideas?

I'm really just trying to think of anything relating to music that has a good cause.

  1. you should fundraise, like you said, and then you should like ask ppl to bring in music, so you can listen to what they like, or watch like movies with   music in it so you can learn the choreography, like on high school musical, its fun!

  2. I would suggest fund raising as you said but also an open forum type club. Meaning... you discuss different types of music you listen to... why you listen to it... and what you all like/dislike about different types of music. What is the impact music has had on your life. From this data you can make promotional videos to share as a means of gaining fundraiser sponsors.

Also, once you get it started go to this website (DoSomething.org) and apply for the DoSomething grant. You can win a $500 grant for the club if you write a good enough application. I Did!!!!

You can look my club up... under my name. Just type this in Google. Gregory Castille, Houston, TX
