  1. ur not alone!!!

  2. I was so scared going into high school, to the point it made me sick. Let me tell you, there's nothing too worry about. I'm not gonna lie, the first week is tough as far as learning the layout of the school, and people are kinda tense. But after the first week, you usually know where you're going and people have calmed down. Once everyone has calmed down, they'll start talking to you and becoming your friend. 9th grade isn't that hard, I'm a sophmore, I went through it last year. You will have to watch your grades, this year is the year everyone's grades dip. So stay on top of it and you'll be fine.

PS- dont worry about the short thing. I have plenty of friends under 5 ft. It just makes you cuddly to everyone! well, good luck!

  3. i don't understand your schooling in amercia but im going into year 12 in england (im 16 years old) and beccause my secondry school doesnt have a 6th form i have to change schools.  All my friends are going to the local one but it doesnt offer the subjects i want to take so im having to go to a school 30 mins away where none of my friends are .. so im pretty much the same as you.  Also i missed the two days that you could meet the people in your year on because i was on holiday so i havent a clue who i will be meeting .. i start on tuesday but im quite excited about hte new start .. although i bet i wont be on tuesday!! i think the best advice i can give you is just be yourself ... i dont exactly fit in for various reasons but i wouldnt ever change who i am .. its important for people to like you for who you are.. also you have an entire year of students to make friends with ... there must be at least one person you will get on with and at the end of the day if there isnt you always have your friends outside of school.  Also i have been hte victim of bullying qutie a bit but there will always be somebody with stupid comments and thats mainly because they are insecure about something .. just dont let them walk over you and stick up for yourself!! let me know how you get on!! :D hope hte advice helps

  4. Almost all who are beginning high school have the sme fears as you do. You have plenty of company. That is to your advantage becuse just about everyone is looking to make friends./

  5. Don't worry! Go into high school with a positive attitude and you'll be just fine. If someone picks on you report it to one of the teachers and I'm sure they'll help you...don't worry about anything.

  6. everyone feels that way on the first day of high school especially when your friends aren't going with you. i started about two weeks ago and i had the same problem. starting at a new school and no friends with me. but ninth grade isn't hard so far at all. i've gotten a's on everything so far. and i just started to talk to people so i wouldn't look lonely at lunch. high school can get really lonely so you have to chat with some people even if they're weird but cute.

  7. one thing

    don't worry about

you'll get the hang of high school in the first week

just study, pay attention, and don't be anti-social (you can meet a lot of new people)

    and you'll be fine

  8. omg me too. I'm short too, but I'm like 5ft but I'm still kinda short in my own world lol. I'm starting high school in 9th grade on Wednesday the 3rd. and I'm terrified. i couldn't sleep last night because i was thinking about what was gonna happen. I'm a shy person at first and it takes a lot to crack me down and make me feel comfortable around someone, and my fear of going in high school is that nobody will come and say hi to me, and that I'll have to walk up to them and start the conversation, which i never do! and I'm also scared that i'll be on my way to class, and i wont be able to get my locker open. its the first year I'm using lockers, so I'm a little worried about that. i can open it, and I've practiced at the orientations but it took me like 6 minutes to finally get it open the first time lol. i would hang out with the girls i always hung out with in middle school but they are going to different schools except for one girl, who was my closest friend, but i don't want to be her friend anymore, she makes its hard to be a friend, and there's a bunch of background details to it, and its a long story. if u want me to explain just go to my yahoo page, email me and just ask lol I'll tell you. but trust me, you WILL make friends because you're probably a great person, just give it some time to settle in, and by the second week of school, i guarantee you'll have at least 5 brand new friends that you cant stop talking to ;]. and you wont fail 9th grade, you just need to organize your tI'me. im completely turning around my life style because I'm unhappy with it, I'm gonna lose some weight, become more active, more sociable, and keep my room clean lol. make an after school schedule for your work. have your mom turn off the internet until a certain time so you don't have the temptation of walking away from your homework/studying. instead of doing projects last minute or 2 days before, start it the day it was assigned, because the night before its due, everyone else will be worrying about it, and you'll be sitting at home relaxing or studying for a test. you just need to plan out your next move so you know that you wont get overwhelmed with your work. it'll all pay off on the day where teachers loaded you with homework and a project is also due the next day, and you know It's one less thing to do ;]

  9. I know this is going to sound silly...but don't act like a freshman. Try not to ask to many questions, and if you have to, ask someone who looks kind. Get involved in many clubs and DONT carry a big bookbag with you. That's just screams freshman. If you need directions ask a teacher or another freshman, not someone in the halls. If you ride the bus, don't be afraid to ask someone to move over though. Study and MAKE SURE you turn in your homework on time. Unlike middle school, high school isn't to forgiving and teachers WILL give you a zero. That's all I can think of right now, but just relax, you'll be fine if you pay attention to the people and things around you. You'll fall into the high school routine within the first month. Have fun!

PS: Do you watch Naruto? You may not believe it,(haha) but there's people in every high school who watch anime and would probably love to talk about it. Somehow go up to the typical 'he/she looks like they watches anime' people and find some kind of clever way for them to know you watch anime too. What I did was go up to this girl who looked like she would be into stuff like that and drew a Konoha symbol on my hand, and when I went to scratch my face she saw it and was like "Do you watch Naruto?!?!" and we've been friends ever since. =D
