  1. They usually send you a letter in the mail saying what days you can get your schedule. and no you shouldnt get your schedule at orientation. so you should get a letter soon

  2. Every school is different. When I was a freshman in high school I got my schedule the day I went to orientation. But for my sophomore, junior, and senior year I got it the first day of classes. I knew where my homeroom was by going to the front doors of the school and they would have everyones name listed with their room numbers next to them. Or in other schools, they mail your homeroom to you.

So yeah, it depends on your school. My school does it the old fashion/retarded way lol.

  3. you should get your schedule by mail.

and for my school, we have an advisory class that we go to on the first day of school and we get our schedules there.

  4. at my school this is how things go:

about 2 weeks before school starts you get a packet with all the registration forms and it also tells you a specific day to go to the school and give the papers to them.at that time they will give you some of your textbooks, locker assignment[if you are lucky enough to get one],take your id picture and get your schedule.

  5. For us, the first day of every school year we didn't go straight to our classes, we went to the gym where the principal and student council talked a little bit about the school, events going on, new rules, new teachers, dress code... The list of homerooms was posted about 30 times around the gym grouped by year and then in alphabetical order. You found your name on the list (took about 5 mins to get everyone through that for a school of around 500), and you went to the homeroom it gave you on the list.. The list of people in that homeroom was posted on the door as well. You went in and sat down and the teacher handed out your schedules there for the rest of your classes, and any other paperwork, forms, or anything like that.

There was then an announcement saying the times of classes for the day since obviously time was already taken up by other things... And you went to your first class.

On the first day of every school year you rarely go straight to your class, there is usually always an assembly where they tell you aboutthe school and rules and teachers and basically what to do.. so you can likely expect to get called to the gymnasium or assembly hall first if you have one (we always just went to the gym because our school was small).. If you don't want to wait and get your instructions last minute like that, you can go ahead and call the school and ask them. I'm sure they're getting tons of calls this time of year and wont mind..

I believe I never got a schedule (out of 8 times... twice a year cuz there are 2 semesters a year)... I think maybe once i got the schedule ahead of time and every other time it was just done the way i mentioned above.. though we still had an assembly anyways.

  6. All schools are different.

My freshman year, they had troubles with the printers so they couldn't mail them out on time and just posted a big poster with our homerooms outside the office. When we went to homerooms we got our class schedules.

But this year, I got my schedule like a month early.

The best thing would probably just call the school or have a parent do it.

  7. maybe they will mail you something. Plehttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... help me!!

  8. Get your mom to call the office, and ask when you're getting you're schedule.

  9. Ok well I would call your school and find out.

They will tell you whether it will come in the mail or if you can pick it up.

  10. Im a Freashman too!

anyway calm down theres no way that your parents are going to let you go to a new school without knowing where to go and what to do.

so i suggest that you call the school maybe like a couple days before school starts. And they could just tell you yor homeroom and then you get your schedule on the first day. Either way youll be fine just make sure your parents call!

I went to the orientation except it was just with my old school and i got the schedule before i went and we took tours and stuff. SO maybe if you didnt get it your old school might have it.

    just a thought though.

  11. did your friends get their schedules? if not, you'll probably get them first period on the first day. if so, call the school and ask if you can come pick your schedule up.
