Question:

High school senior class trip?

I'm currently a junior in high school in New York city, and a member of our Junior Council. We're starting to discuss ideas for our senior trip. It will be in June 2009. Our grade has around 60 students, so we're expecting around 50-ish to attend. Teachers will be chaperoning (in other words, we will be supervised).

I have several questions:

What are some good destinations for a senior trip that aren't too expensive but are a lot of fun ("senior-friendly")? We can fly places. We can go international, but that is less likely to happen (nevertheless, we can). I would appreciate any information about the destination(s) too (e.g. do we need to (or should we) charter a bus there?). Also, what is there to do at these destinations? Any recommendations on where to stay, eat, etc.? Are there any travel companies that specialize in these kinds of trips that could help?

Did you go on a senior class trip? How was it?

As always, thank you for your input.

  1. France, Germany, England (UK), Holland, Spain, Mexico, Canada, Bahamas, Panama, Brazil,Chile, Peru, Israel, Russia

  2. Well, i would say London, UK is the best place. If you get the Seniors in 2009 to sign up and to make them go, you can book before December and you'll be getting really affordable rates. Also I wouldnt advise you to stay in "Downtown" because the rates are high first of all and second of all theres a lot of traffic. Close to the city would be fine, there you would have access to the London Zoo, Chessington, London Aquarium, Legoland and other stuff. The eastside of London would be BEST. Have fun!

  3. you could plan out a road trip doing different things at different places so it doesnt get to boring cuz your doing the same thing over and over
