High school swim team.

Question

Ok, so im trying out for my high school swim team, which is in, ha 2 days. tomorrow one of my friends is going to the pool tm to help me practice. Ive never been on a swim team, except in elementary, and ive never timed myself. What times should I be looking to beat?

thats the trick part. i do 29,95 in the 50mts freestyle. and its ok. not bad but way far from impressive. my goal is to get below 28 before the years end.

id say the best of the best do below 27

So it depends on what your coach is looking for: speed or endurance?
