  1. i'm not a sprinter, but when i jog i always sprint up the hills because it strengthens your legs, so i would assume yes.

  2. Speed is a mixture of power and swiftness. Going up hill is good for power and leg lift, but you cant skip out on lifting weights.

  3. Running hills is a very good workout for sprinters.

  4. Uphill running builds strength (power).  Downhill running increases speed.

  5. well...yeah i guess. they do really build up the strength in your legs and the stronger you are, most likely the faster. stairs do too. to me, running stairs are harder than running hills.

  6. hill sprints are one of the best ways to make you faster.

i do them myself almost everyday and it feels great.

    some reasons for doing it..

    1. they teach proper knee lifts

    2. they teach the "toe up" position

    3. helps increase ankle strength

    4. keeps your hamstrings in shape

    5. keeps you in shape, performance will definitely improve

keep at it and you will see the results
