Hobbies for a teenage girl?

Question

What hobbies should i join?

I'm not overly sporty and have like no arty gene in me at all lol

I swim but thats about all i do :/

please help

Check out the crafty web sites on the net, and see if there are any that appeal to you.  Craftster.org is my favorite (probably THE most addictive website of ALL time) and it has whole bunch of different forums dedicated to various kinds of craftiness....and they are a community of folks who enjoy sharing their projects and post pictures and tutorials to help you if you want to try them, too.

The way I look at it, if it can get someone like me, who has no crafty or artistic ability, excited about being creative, just think what it can do for someone who is naturally or innately creative!

Incidentally, craftster has a lot of people who are interested in polymer clay, and some in polyresin casting, neither of which has been mentioned above, I don't believe.

Go to a craft or hobby store and look around and I am sure something will get your attention.  There is lots of things there to try and you will find osmething that you wil like.  I make Jewelry and sell it and I make a good income on the side with it last year alone I did about 8000

Whatever you enjoy. You don't to have a main hobbie that you do as long as it is fun for you and gives you enjoyment whether thats just hangin out with friends or sports or whatever.

Well you like swimming so try that go wiht a friend on anight or somthing.

Try some stamped cross-stitching for example! You do not need to be extremely artistic with those, and this hobby suits even for those awful rainy days!

ok, I know this can be pricy, but sometimes you can find this stuff on clarence at the local craft stores, or better yet look on ebay, ioffer.com, esty.com, or craigslist.com

But you can try prestamped, prequilted cross stitch baby or lap quilts.

I normally get mine off of ebay, because there so much cheaper, then the local craft stores. I pay between $9.99-15.00 (& thats with the s&h too). Now, sometimes they come with the floss & sometimes the ydont. If they dont, the floss is pretty cheap at the craft stores, about 35-40 cents  a skien of floss at Micheals,& Hobby Lobby. Not too sure what is its a JoAnn's.

If you dont want ot start with soemthing so big, try a baby bib.

Now, there are 2 types of cross stitching, stamped, (what I do, the pattern is already there for you  to sew over it, when done, you can wash it out, & the pattern you sewed wil lstill be there, but the ink that you sewed over wont be.

Then, there is what they call counted cross stitch, that means the pattern is NOT there for you to sew over, you have to count the squares to sew, which make it so much harder to sew, plua, 1 wrong move & the whole pattern is messed up

I highly recommend getting into the performing arts. I know you said you're not arty, but there are a lot of other things you can do in theatre. If your school or community has a performing arts program or class, get involved, it's a lot of fun!
