Hockey Girl??

Question

Im 14 and im a girl. I have started to go to every home game of my hometown NHL team. I really understand the game well. Im a good skater (not the best) but im pretty good. Theres a hockey team that accepts boys and girls. And there having tryouts next week. I play rollar hockey with my friends outside and I go ice skating ever friday night. Should i try out? I really want to play. Oh and theres this kid on the team that i really like and he allready thinks im weird. should i try out?

yeah definatly try out. i  dont think hockey is a guy sport. my dad used to play on the philadelphia phantoms (AHL) so i grew up arond hockey and i play on a team with 2 other girls and 13 boys but we still have fun

I would give it a shot! If you really like it and they see that your willing to learn, you never know, you might make the team and it may turn into something great!

If you really do love the sport and enjoy playing it .... I'd have to say yes. If you don't, you will regret it later in life. Good luck to you.

try it! I was thinkin about it im about ur age but i think watching its fun too. And....if u make it, make the kid jealous that u like by going after someone else ;) GOOD LUCK!!!!

Try Out. It will be fun for you. I play and love it. Don't worry about the boy on your team. Just play for yourself and he will see you are good and that will add to it, if he already likes you. Never play just to impress somebody. But Go for it. Have fun and good luck Some teams do supply the equipment. Still give it a shot. All teams have fees to try out. It will be fun and good exercise for you. You will have a blast Everybody has to start somewhere. Getting good is a matter of playing. You have asked for our opinion and we are giving it to you. You seem to be trying to talk yourself out of it.

without a doubt you should try out and that guy you like might like you more if he sees that you love hockey...theres no harm in trying it
