Question:

Hole in eye?! I need help...?

My bf and I went to a funeral yesterday and left our two dogs alone in their room for about 5 hours. When we got home, my Schipperke's left eye was squinted and she could barely open it. My bf took her to the pet ER and they told him she had a tiny hole in her cornea. They gave her drops, pills and a cone to prevent her from rubbing her eye. They said the worst case (extremely rare) scenario is she would lose eyesight in that eye. I'm TERRIFIED! Her eye is much more open today but it's gleaming from being dilated and she looks so depressed with that cone around her neck. I'm all torn up over it. Has this happened to anyone else?? Please help.......

  1. i have a cavalier king charles spaniel thats 9 months old (my avatar) and he had his eye closed and he  kept whining and rubbin it so we took him to the vet and they put this stuff in his eye and shut the lights off and saw that he had a little hole in his eye. we think in was from a cat because he chases them all day everday. they gave him eye drops and pain meds and the next day he was alot better and by the second day he was back to his old self..... or young self lol.
