hi i wonder if anybody can help me.

me and my friend are booking a holiday to ireland we r going to take our mums for their christmas present. we want to go in april time.

Which area of ireland is best, we want to go somewhere which is nice for children as we both have a young child each but we also want to go somewhere that is quite lively at night. I thought of an area such as dingle bay, mainly because i had heard about it on tv because of the dolphin but im not sure about the night life there. Although we r in our 20's we r not bothered about massive nightclubs just as long as theres a couple of good pubs lol

thanks any ideas will be greatly appreciated.

  1. You mentioned Dingle - Great choice!!  Kerry is beautiful and you have some great pubs with after hours and night clubs too. Wherever you go in Ireland you'll love it and the fresh air sometimes knocks you out so you may not be as up to night clubbing as much as you think!! LOL.

  2. Dublin has the night life you are looking for in all sizes and styles. Day time has shopping and touring enought to tire out any 20 yr olds let alone the Moms.

The same can be said of Galway! For something smaller but really lovely you might consider Limmerick.

Do not forget Cork with a side trip to Blarney!

Get the picture, it is hard to go wrong  with almost any town in Ireland. Have fun.

  3. If your flying into Shannon airport, the i would stick to the west. Galway really is a great town! Best nightlife in my opinion as its a student town. You would also find things to do with your kids which is why i would avoid Dublin. Salthill, which is a seaside town 10 min from gal way city has some great restraunts (Da Robertas). Limerick is another nice town for some shopping and is 20 min from Shannon. Bunratty Castle and village would be a great place to spend a day and night and is full of traditional lively Irish pubs. The cliffs of moher near  lahinch is another hotspot for tourists.

The Burren is also in Clare which is a protected landscape which has a large limestone cave region which has guided tours daily which your kids would love.

Everything is within an hour and a half drive so its very relaxing.

    Hope you enjoy your trip

  4. Donegal, County Sligo (Curry is great, and there is Westport), and Dublin, however maybe not for children.

    have fun!

  5. Visit

Galway = good town in the west of ireland and nice place to relax and enjoy.

Dublin = The capital + Drink + Pubs+ more drink + More Pubs + expensive

    Enjoy your stay

Lovely places u will like it

Make sure u bring your Umbrellas. :)
