  1. It is your right to home school your child. South Carolina Virtual Charter school would be an excellent option for you to look into.

  2. Google your state and homeschooling.  I found this:

    http://www.schomeeducatorsassociation.or...

Educate yourself as much as you can over the next 2 years before your child turns 5 (SC compulsory attendance age), It's not too early to find a good local support group to join now!  It is legal and you can do it!

  3. The best place I have found for laws is http://www.hslda.org

At three I would start with workbooks from Walmart. Let him play with art supplies, help him learn to use scissors, play dough is fun for kids of all ages (including you)!! Right now the most important thing he does is play. Education begins that way.

As for curricula you will find there are so many it's overwhelming. You don't need one right now, about the time he starts 1st grade he may. We use Sonlight for everything except math. They are a Christian and literature based program that comes with the lesson plans. They are a bit expensive but I also have 3 kids (10, 5, and 2) and it is reusable. You also end up with a library of wonderful books. Each core has between 30 and 50 books. For math we use Math U See. It helps my kids to visualize what they are doing and then do it. It also has a DVD to help give the lessons.

  4. there is also a magazine that you can get off the web for curriculums and fun stuff...i was homeschooled for years...PACE are fun...and BEKA books...but there is  ton of stuff out there..
