I have a kenwood VR-60RS. I like it alot. A very lot. Have it for years and honestly I don't know that much about it. I know it can support DTS and DTS Ex same with Pro Logic II.

But I never know how to activate them. It has the lights on the front of it. Right besie activate EQ. I have a PS3 and ive played blueray all the time. Ive played stuff that I know support DTS and Pr Logic II. But th light never comes on.

Any idea why? Really appreciate it. Also sound setup any ideas how to set that stuff up? Ive done it along time ago but lol now I forgot and I wanna redo it all.

While im here one more question. This one kinda bothers me alot. In theater mode it sounds good and all but its a echo.. realy annoying it doesn't really sound like the theaters. Sorry for all the questions but while im here might as well ask how to fix this the way I want it.

Thanks.

  1. Use a digital cable from your source (DVD Player, Computer, etc) to your HTS (Home Theater System).. Then select on your receiver that its a digital signal and it should automatically switch to the appropriate decoding.. (DTS/Dobly Digital/Etc).

    Hope this helps.

    PS

The theater mode is probably for Pro Logic and is probably supposed to echo... When you select the Digial source mode it shouldn't allow you to use separate audio filters for ProLogic.

  2. To activate the DTS  you need to have a movie encoded in DTS and select that track from your player.

As far as your set up you need to consult your manual and start over.

  3.      Connect optical cable from PS3 to receiver and set optical out on BD/dvd audio setting on PS3.
