Home is where the heart is, and ours belong to God, our children, grand children, and each other.

It is good for everyone to have a home. If you are asking about homeschool, it is good for kids too. They are not locked away from the real world. They get to get out in the real world. My kid is tearing through her school work today so we can be out of the house for the next two days. We have projects planned, and friends to help move into a new house. That is the real world.

Of course having a home is good for children.  Having parents that love and support them is the best.  Having parents who choose to homeschool their children in that home, is priceless.  

"Bring up a child in the way that they should go and when they are old, they will not depart from it."   IF you want a government educated person, send them out of your home, but if you want a well-guided, loving, educated person, with real values not faux ones then home is where they belong.

I'm home schooled and I think that it's good for every one.  You grow as a family and learn more.  I have friends in school and they don't learn half as much as I do.  I take classes out too.  Most people think that Homeschooling means you stay home with your mom all day and have no real life. Honestly I laugh at those ignorant people.  On the other hand you have the people who think only really smart people should be home schooled, that is not true either.  I am about to Grad. and I honestly think that If i were not home schooled I would not be the person I am today.  i wouldn't be involved with my church.  I wouldn't be able to travel to the many different country i have and most inporant would not be as close to my family.

Not really sure what you're getting at... are you asking if it's good for children to be homeschooled, or are you questioning if it is good for children to be home all day?

I believe homeschooling can be very good for children...

of course, "home" schooling is just a term; it does not mean you stay home all day and do all your learning at home. My kids have classes with other teachers and group activities outside of the home at least 5 days per week... then of course there is just going out to play or visiting friends.

We only spend a small portion of our days at home.

Shelter is one of the most basic of the human needs. So technically home is part of survival. Granted it could be a small apartment, a hotel, a shelter, or a huge mansion. . .but every child needs a home.

It was good for me.  I was homeschooled from first grade on and I started college at 15.  I would have been a mess in a public school.

I have friends who make $150,000 a year and work out of home 4 days a week, is that BAD?  Is it BAD to work in your PJs and raid the fridge when you're hungry and make $150,000 a year programming software!?

Or do you think everyone should wear a suit and tie, get up at 6 AM travel 50 miles in the snow to a place to sit at a work station in a partition and punch a time clock?
