  1. You need to find the least common multiple for both of the numbers.  In this case multiplying them together.  so 3x4=12, so every 12 days he will do both.

  2. Every 12 days.

  3. you can make a chart numbered 1 thru whatever. mark a J every three days and an S for every 4 days. or you can do least common multiple. on the 12th day, trevor will jog and swim. so every 12 days, trevor jogs and swims.

  4. Well, first find a lot of multiples of 3. So...

    3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, etc

Then find the multiples of 4.

    4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, etc.

When the numbers match up, that means he jogged and swam on the same day.

  5. make a little calender.  you'll see that every twelve days trevor jogs and swims on the same day.  12 is the least common denominator of both three and four.
