Homemade star wars outfit?

I'm going to the london film and comic convention this sunday and theres going to be an attempt to break the world record for the most amount of people in star wars outfits in one place.

I have almost no money (maybe £5), does anyone have an idea of a cheap costume I can make that will be relatively easy to do?

  1. Why not wrap up in aluminum foil (clothing underneath).

Star Wars had a LOT of characters.

Just say "Oh, I'm Spiffles. Do you like it."

  2. Basic Jedi robes are fairly easy to make. I would not suggest trying anything more complicated, as the cost for some of the harder-to-make costumes can run into the hundreds or thousands of US dollars (for example, a good, 501st quality Vader costume could easily cost $2000-3000 US).

Most any costume shop will have some sort of cloak you could use, and sewing patterns for cloaks are not hard to come by, should you feel more ambitious.

  3. make a smugglers costume
