Dear All,

I have a chazalion on the upper eye lide and on the lower eyelid. And i have been given baxin and few eye drops ( along with a vitamin B & C supplement). I have also been to a homeopathy doctor and she has given few medicines. Now I want to know if it is safe to continue my antibiotics & homeopathy medicine together ? As per my eye-specialist it is a stye and as per the homeopath it is not a stye and just a inflamed tear duct.

Plz let me know your view point.

Thanks,

ks

  1. Since we don't know which medications and which homeopathic ingredients, I would suggest asking your homeopath. Anyone here will have a "best guess", but your homeopath can tell you for sure because they should have access to a database of drug and supplement interactions.

  2. homeopaths have no (credible) training in anatomy or medical diagnosis.

If your EYE SPECIALIST (!!!) says it is just a stye, you should follow their advice.  Generally speaking, however, styes don't require antibiotics, just warm compresses for 10 minute 3 times a day.

There is no harm in taking homeopathic nostrums along with antibiotics, as they have no active ingredients at all.  They are essentially placebo treatments.  But why waste your money on over priced starch pills??
