I want to buy a plant to decorate a place in my room where sun doesn't reach so I'm looking for a plant that would love shadowy spot. Can anyone recommend a plant? Thanks a lot. Don't want to kill the plant :-).

  5. An exotic looking plant called Clivia not only survives low light and humidity, it also puts out beautiful blooms in winter even in poor light conditions. Almost impossible to find in nurseries, eBay is the way to go. Native to South Africa, they can go months without water when dormant in the summer if you live north of the equator. Price can be as little as fifty cents a seed, some sell for hundreds depending on it's rarity. Some mature plants (5-6 years to bloom) sell for hundreds, even thousands of dollars..RScott

  6. Spathiphyllum (peace lily)..false aralia...dracena......schefflera...these are tolerant of shade..ficus trees also but usually need to adapt and may shed their leaves.
