Homeschool, Lol?

HOw many people are out there that homeschool, in the United States??, I am, Im not one of those(Socially Retarded,Shy,pale white and do nothing) Im VERY outgoing and I love to be around people, im not weird(or yes i am just not in the "Homeschool" way) Lol so how many of you are out there that are like me!!!

well, I could go to "actual" school, in fact our highschool just got rebuilt, but I don't. Instead I do an online charter school and I was homeschooled before that. And why not?

I still play sports, (soccer since 1st grade),

I played an instrument (piano, recorder, guitar for a year),

I'm part of our student government, (which does do stuff, like organizing activites and improving the school experience, just like "normal school")

Plus I can get my work done as early as noon, and take a two hour lunch break. And this flexibilty is great because it allows me to not only volunteer during school hours, but I also have time to take a college course.

And who really cares about the anti-social stereotype? Please, I have close to 20 friends from school and probably the same number from other places.



I'm not saying that public school is bad, actually I don't think I would have minded going for a few years just to get the experience, but don't bash homeschooling just cause you assume we have no social life. There's really no proof to back it up, and it's just as bad as saying that all Asian people are math genius's, or Jews are good with money.

I just dropped my daughter off for the couple of classes that she takes at our local High School where she is well respected by all her peers. She had no problems fitting in with kids that have been public schooled all their lives. She was recently promoted in her ROTC  program over some of the kids who have been in longer BECAUSE she displays more leadership skills and confidence. She also doesn't get taken in by all the "peer junk" that goes on. You like her for who she is or oh well. I credit home school and our close relationship for the great young lady she has become!

People like Belle obviously don't actually look into things before they answer and rely on stereotypes. Is that what public school teaches?

Homeschooled since third grade. All the homeschoolers I know (and nearly everyone in my church is homeschooling) isn't retarded or shy... they're really smart and outgoing, infact, we're the greatest people there are!

It's pretty hard to tell, actually.

Some people aren't registered. I wasn't for a while.

In some states, people count as private schools.

Some people are in online charter schools, and count as charter school students.

thats totally me!  i am homeschooled but i am not the overly religous homeschooler!  i love hollister , americane eagle, always wear make-up and have my hair done, so people would never think i am homeschooled!
