1. What is the density of a wood block with a volume of 125 cm 3 and a mass of 57 grams (g)?

2.What is the density of a liquid with a mass of 45 grams (g) and a volume of 48 ml?

3. What conversion factor would you use to convert between liters and milliliters?

4. Your cat's bowl holds 0.25 liters of liquid. How many milliliters of water can you pour into the bowl?

  1. Density is mass/volume

    1) density = 57 g / 125 cm^3 = 0.446 g/cc

    2) is the same, just use the definition and calculate

    3) Milliliter is 1/1000 of a liter so multiply or divide by that number as appropriate

    4) Use the conversion in 3 to figure this out.  0.25 liters /(1 liter/1000 ml) = 250 ml
