Honda accord Problem?

I have a 94 honda accord and the shift is in the locked position and will not disengage. the brake pedal does not release it when pressed. the other problem is that sometimes the car will start and other times it will just die. the battery is good but it dies and will not start. all the ecetrical goes out. are these problems related?

  2. i doubt there related BUT you can clean the battery terminals with baking soda and water mixture and that should fix the electrical problem... and there is a switch on the gear shifter you will need to remove the plastic around the give shifter and find out where the release tab is... sometimes sticky cola or other things get in there and cause it to stick.. you may just need to spray everything down with wd-40 and wiggle it but then something may have came loose you would just have to look around in there.. good luck..
