1. The most romantic place I know is Funchal, Madeira. Beautiful hotels and restaurants, speciality foods, a Casino, dramatic landscapes (including a 2000 foot sea cliff and a volcano), botanical gardens....

No beaches and a long way from America, though, so maybe more suitable for a vacation in the future.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Funchal

  2. How about mexico? Where do you live? You have to look for deals from your city. Some cities offer great package deals, some don't... you might also consider going to the nearest major city like NY, Chicago, LA etc and check out the deals leaving from that city.

  3. greece and turkey are both gorgeous and cheap try something there

  4. It's bad enough when people want strangers to give them suggestions about anything, much less travel plans, but for a honeymoon?!?!

There are too many places that would fit the bill,

and you wouldn't want to book someplace

that was overrun with tourists or natural disasters, would you?

You need to discuss this with your fiance,

and then find a travel agent who can help you.

  5. So you want romance, party, inexpensive? Try Puerto Vallarta, Mexico! It has everything your asking for here. It is all romantic and fun, fun, fun! You can rent mopads, jeeps, powerchute on the beach, and have a romantic dinner on the beach too. I stayed in a villa there once overlooking the beach. It was so beautiful. We had a pool and iquana in our villa. The iquana at the time scared me.

I've been there many times. Its got nice beaches, good restaurants, and lots of activities. It is also romantic, and the sunsets are beautiful. I fell in love there once. No that's not why I love it. I used to party there 7 days a week until 8 in the morning, and spent half the day sleeping on the beach to tan and the other half riding around on a moped, parachuting, dancing, eating, site seeing etc.!! The horse riding on the beach was nice.

San Miquel De Allende is another romantic place in Mexico, but there's not a beach. Then there's Veracruz. I've heard it is nice, but never been there and would like to go.

If you want a place with lots and lots of tourist and beaches go to Cancun and Alcapulco/mexico. Last time I went to Cancun everyone spoke english to my surprise.

You and your fiance could always book a nice/suite room somewhere with a beautiful pool, full time service etc., and never come out, except for a swim!!!! Make sure rose petals are thrown on the bed everyday, and nice candle light is added to the atmosphere. Try to get a room with a jacuzzi/bathtub! You can throw rose petals in the bath too. How romantic can that be? Don't forget the music.

This would be a good alternative if your finances are strict at the moment. Then after, within 6 months to a year,(for a 2nd honeymoon) ya'll could save for the full 5 star hotel (romantic) by a beach in a remote place anywhere of your choice. This would add more romance to your relationship, and keep the flame going. Sometimes, I think romance really helps a relationship from becoming stale, unless there are severe financial problems. BUT TRUE LOVE CAN CONQUER ALL!

Try to keep away from border towns in the southern part of the U.S. AT THIS TIME, they can be a little dangerous. I don't know about the northern borders.

You can also try searching for people renting their homes in these places instead of hotels. This way you get the real feeling of the place/atmosphere.

Try rebudgeting, since it's not untill Sept. Since the weather has been so unpredictable, this is a consideration to look into. You don't want your honeymoon to turn into a storm.

TALK TO A TRAVEL AGENT, but than again they can't predict the weather these days.

Some other places that come to mind are KEY LARGO/FLORIDA. Ya'll could rent a bungalow and go boating.

I was also thinking Sedona, Arizona. It's beautiful, but there's no beach. There is a river though. Sedona is a place everyone must see in America. Then you can rent a car and visit the Grand canyon and go river rafting.

There's also Cabo San Lucas in the southern part of California.

Some other places to reconsider are:

    Bora Bora, fiji, and hawaii.

    Have fun on your honeymoon,

    Michelle

Note: Don't travel in hurricane season and check the weather at least a month in advance. This is due to global warming! Also, make sure your trip can be revised, without too many penalties, if so none, but there might be a few.

Honeymoons shouldn't stop with the first one. Try to have honeymoons as often as ya'll can, if finances/time/schedules permit.
