Honeymoon registration services?

Me and my girlfriend will be getting married in a few months and heard that their are services where you can regeister your honeymoon and guests can pay for parts of it.

Are these services legit? Which ones are the most reputable? Are their any pitfalls? has anyone else used them?

Yes, there are services offered where you can register your honeymoon.  These services are very legitamite-people do it all the time.  Here is where you can do this http://www.cassandralanetravel.org click the "Extras" tab at the top, then scroll down to the middle/right and you will see a square that says "Honeymoon Registry", click there and proceed.
