Horrible Cheerleader?

How can i help this freshman cheerleader, that knows nothing about cheerleading.... she has never cheered before in her life!

she doesnt even know how to hold her arms correctly and her arms are like noodles, she cannot keep them stiff!!

I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!!!!

  1. Tell her to take another sport, perhaps one that will help her posture? Maybe something intense, like track, or something soothing like yoga?


  2. omgoodness...i know exactly what you mean..we have one of those girls on my team...and she made VARSITY bc her mom is best friends with the coach...anyways...i would try to help her...with the little things...tell her to practice in front of a mirror. Also push ups will help with tightening her arms.

  3. i'm a varsity cheerleader!!! she needs strong arms to help her keep them stiff.. have her do push ups and handstands on the wall.... have her hit Hi Vs and Low Vs, and all the moves... with each move walk by her and try to push her arms.. if they move then make her do more push ups.. keep training her to keep her arms stiff by pushing her arms and having her hold them in a certain position until she gets tired!!! hope this helps out :)
