  1. It is never to late to start horseback riding.  What state are you in.

Every good rider has fallen off at least once so it is not uncommon.  I have never gotten hurt falling off but i did get the wind knocked out of me a couple times.  Make sure you get right back up on the horse though.  Most riders are sore when they first start out riding.  Half chaps will definitely help.

I would start taking lessons at a barn first to see whether or not you enjoy riding.  What discipline are you looking to go into?

Prices of horses depend on what discipline they are involved in.  Hunters at our barn range anywhere from $10,000-$80,000, but most of them are show horses, retired show horses or grand prix horses.  Alot on horses at barns you will ride at will be quarter horses, thoroughbreds, Arabs, ponies, or paint crosses.  Quarter horses are a great first horse for a beginner rider.  Once you become a better rider you can move up to a more difficult breed.

  2. i would start with lessons the mlease before you buy.  for a good well rounded horse you cna get one for 3200

  3. It's nvr to late to horseback rid and I think that a good hors for you would b a palimino
