when looking at previous form of a horse, what does P, F 0 mean. also what does a - mean? THanks!

  1. F means it Fell.  P means it was pulled up.  0 means it was unplaced ( not in the first 2, 3 or 4 depending on the number of runners. I don't know what "a" means
