  1. Is it an appaloosa :O

  2. go to the vet at u can cancel the show if you like

  3. It can be an allergy to something.  My horse rcently had the same thing.  They finally just went away..Vet said don't worry about it.

  4. jayne pay for the vets and dont neglect the horse

  5. I think this would be a job for your vet as the stuff they put on is pretty potent and can burn and scar unless put on by a vet.  Sorry.  I am not sure that it is a quick job either.

  6. Okay, it's time for one of Rosi's old HOME REMEDIES again.  This one was given to me back in 1974 from Flo Largent, Pico Rivera, CA.

My then 6 year old AQHA mare, Sixpence McCue, got warts all over her muzzle.  Flo mixed up a concoction of bacon grease and iodine and told me to paint the mare's muzzle with it.  It sounded WEIRD, but within a week they all fell off.

  7. What colour is the horse? These sound like sarcoids. Either way there is no quick and easy method of getting rid of warts/sarcoids so looks like the show may have to be missed. Look at the links below and if you think they are sarcoids, phone the vet. Though a large amount of warts will probably need to be frozen off or removed in another way, however this can make them grow back more aggresively. Tell your friend to call the vet to have a look.

  8. warts are a very common thing in younger horses, especially the females, they are just like teenagers getting pimples, some get them some don't, they are easily treated with over the counter vet supplies such as wart aid , also i was told that if you pick a few off the horse will build up an immunity to them because they will l**k at them, i have had two fillys so far who have gotten warts 1 was a yearling the other was 6yrs old, they usually disapear by winter on their own, there is no quick way to get rid of them, sorry to say. but do try wart aid or something it does work but you have to be consistent using it. hope this helps.
