Hotels near Miller Park Milwaukee Wisconsin?

taking the kids to a game at miller park can anyone tell me any "decent" hotels that are within walking distance to the park

I have stayed in hotels in Milwaukee and there are some nice ones. There one (the name escapes me) not too far from the Amtrak train station. It's a chain hotel (Holiday Inn, Ramada, that sort of thing) and there is a free shuttle bus right near that takes you from downtown to Miller Park and back. There is nothing right within walking distance of the park. Below is a link to find hotels closest to MillerPark. Just put in the dates.

i have been there and it's pretty hard to find a hotel/motel around milwaukee. first one you see is the one you're going to end up going to. look it up on mapquest

I don't know how you bought the tickets, but on the brewers website, the schedule gives you the option to look for lodging in the area for the game, so that would be your best bet.  This is a new option on their website, so maybe you even get some type of discount.  In general there are not too many hotels within walking distance, but you can get relatively close.
