House Cleaning Business?

I am thinking about starting my own housekeeping business to make extra money for school. I would do simple interior house cleaning, but I dont know how much to charge. Any Ideas?

Since prices differ across the country, I think that you should call a few cleaning services and get some quotes. Pick maybe 3 or 5 companies. Ask one for a ball park figure, since most won't give an estimate until they see the place. Say, you have a condo 1bd/1bth pick a square footage Then, a 2br/2bth house and so on. This hopefully will give you a guideline of what to charge. Depending on State and area, housekeeping can vary between $10/30 dollars an hour. Or a flat rate for a large apt. or home. Good Luck p.s. When you call act as if you want them to clean your place. If you tell them that you want to find what to charge they will not be willing to give you the info.
