  1. Well, consider that you are using your own products... I clean a house part-time and I split the cost of the cleaning supplies with the clients!

I buy in bulk and use coupons... So, this last trip I bought refill containers that included the reg. size products and  multi-packs of pledge/scrubbing bubbles for less than $3 a multipack....Normally, this would have cost $70 but using coupons I SAVED $40!   However, it will last 6-9 months... !  Also, what "chores" will you be doing and how far are your clients from you home....? Do add in fuel charges and such.?. So, at minimum I would charge $20 per hour.....

I'm not familiar with Shropshire- it sounds like it's in the UK?  So, I'm not familiar with the cleaning supplies and if you have/get coupons for products.. If you do- call the 1-800 numbers on the back of your products and request coupons.. Or sign-up for special offers online from brands that you know and like.... You can really save a bundle!

    Good luck

  2. My cleaning lady charges $70 every 2 weeks and supplied the cleaning products.  But my home is pretty clean when she gets here and I live alone too.  My house is 1,600 square feet.

My sister uses her also and she has a husband and 2 young kids.  She charges my sister $80 every 2 weeks and my sister supplies the cleaning products.  Her house is also a little larger at 2,000 square feet.
