Ok.. I know i'm not good... it's only been like 2-3 weeks since I started practicing...

In case any of u dont read the video description i'll copy it here:

"This is me after practicing bboying for about 2-3 weeks.

Could real bboys out there give me any advice/contructive criticisms?

*My toprock isn't "with the music" because I danced w/o any music at that time and just added it later on.

I also didn't do any powermoves cause I still need to work on them (ALOT).

lol"

I was tired when I filmed this also... I did some cardio running beforehand.

  1. Not Badd. But pretty crappy camera. But your breaking is pretty good for 2 - 3 weeks, my friends been practicing for like 2 months - ish and you are a bit better.

  2. Toprock needs more enthusiasm.

    Your arms are to wobbly.

You should always be on your toes in your toprock.

Can't see from that angle, but just wanted to point that out.

Your knee drops need work( your get-down).

    (They aren't that good)

Need to speed up your footwork.

Also you know that you're doing coffee grinder/helicopter wrong.

Your spinning foot is never supposed to touch the ground.

    It looked like it did.

Your transitions to your baby freeze and shoulder freeze was not that smooth.

    Practice it faster.

Good freezes though. Add style to them by making poses with your leg positions.

A good knee drop video to make yours better and faster

Also you shouldn't be asking questions here.

    Use

    bboy.org

Make an account and use the forums everybody there is a real bboy or bgirl and you can ask questions for them to answer

Ask about your freeze transitions there because i don't think those transitions are really good.

Also tell you me you get your turtle freeze down. I got it 2nd day of bboying. You need it for a lot of moves.

Watch this if you haven't already learned it

Learn all those freezes on that page you'll need it even though you already got down baby.

  3. Ok I'm not a breakdancer or anything...and i don't know anything about it... so I won't be able to give you any advice to improve...but here are my evaluations

From 0:11-0:14, it didn't look smooth... It looked like you only moved your feet to one side...it didn't look like sliding xD

From 0:15-0:22, it looked like you weren't really motivated. Maybe bend a little lower and show so motivation....idk....like i said, i don't know that much about breakdancing.

From 0:23-0:29, it looked pretty good for a beginner. Just make it go faster.

    From 0:30-0:32, very good! (:

From 0:54-0:56, uh pretty decent for a beginner. Obviously you need your feet to be more straight.

Yea that's my evaluation. Keep practicing and you'll get better. Good luck (:

  4. I can do that but it is good for 2 weeks Ive been a b-girl 4about 2 years

  5. Well okay, I'm not a "real" bboy, I've just been dancing since like...ever. haha. But, I will say this. You've gotta have swagger man! Dance is all about attitude, and you MAY have the moves but it doesn't look hott unless you've got attitude. Keep working out and getting your strength up so that you can work toward better moves. Oh yeah, that move that you were doing at the beginning needs to have more bounce. It looked sorta..idk...flat.

  6. Your not late, i started at 15 and NO EXCUSESSS :D!!

(made as i am watching the video...)

First thing i noticed was HORRIBLEEE song choice. chose a better song with more funk and clap

Swing your arms move when top rocking, coming out with a more original top rock. try to move around more?

Transitions are sloppy, come up with some variation to your Six step like reversing or kicking your leg up and twisting.

Your transition from six stepping to a baby freeze was weird xD,  it should be done when your swinging your right leg to the front.

When you got up and walked around then did the little spinning thing it was the weakest spin i have ever seen :P

    again more original moves...

only douches do the helicopter/coffe grinder

and bend one of your legs in for your last freeze.

    (Finished watching video)

Work on your style/uniqueness and transitions before you learn more moves, always dance to music so you can get a natural feel for it, again better music (Likeee . Looked at your piano videos (cute :P).

I'm not trying to be mean but just saying what i think

    Good luck and keep trying

  7. That was really good for a beginner! I know I could never do it! btw thanks for your answer to my question, and i'm 14. :]

  8. You do need attitude, and also may I suggest a better camera?
