How Do You Completely Reset PS3?

Can someone please tell me which option I need to select in order to completely reset my PS3, I do not mind about loosing data, movies, etc.

  1. Format HDD (Settings menu).

    In order to reset video settings - while turning your PS3 on, press and hold power button on front until the system will beep.


  2. You hold the power button until it beeps twice.

    the first beep is power on/off.

    the second is reset
