  1. Let's practice by example then.

Firstable download and install uTorrent from http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

Why uTorrent? It's the best torrent client available.

After uTorrent installed, then go to http://thepiratebay.org

Search for something you want to download

If you find one then click it till you see the "Download this torrent"

Right click it and "Copy Shortcut"

Now open uTorrent and press "CTRL+U" (Add Torrent from URL)

Paste the shortcut (usually you don't have to do this, cause this step is automatic, but.. just in case...)

    Click OK

Now you can see that the torrent is downloading...

  2. It's a bit confusing, even my sister is confused, and yet shes addicted to it.

Just download the application, usually they are free, its a scam if they charge you. Try utorrent, its lightweight , works on lowend pcs

    http://www.utorrent.com/download.php

click app to install it. Then open it

after  that just browse a torrent site like

http://www.mininova.org/   There should be green arrows next to them, just click and download torrent.

Find utorrent you installed, open and find that icon(paper with + sign)  click that and find that torrent you downloaded from mini to add in utorrent, itll ask for location, try desktop location , easiest to find, then wait untill it reaches 100% then your done.

I don't use much. Used to max out 100gb+ month ^^

  3. when you download a torrent file you get a list of trackers, all of these trackers are "tracking" seeders and lechers, a lecher is a downloader who uploads while downloading (most downloaders) and a seeder is one who after downloading continues to upload. The trackers usually have a list of "super seeders" who are people who upload at rates of MB/s and stay online for months. So to sum up when you download a torrent you are also uploading a torrent (unless you are nasty and limit uploading to 0KB/s) and other people who are downloading are receiving the data you are uploading. It is a very popular file sharing protocol for pirates because if the person who uploaded the torrent in the first place can no longer seed the file is still downloadable, unfortunately this means that an old torrent that not many people are interested in becomes undownloadable, hope this helped, remember to seed!

  4. Either figure it out on your own or you shouldnt be using it cause once you download something, you're going to have many more questions.

If you don't know how to use something then don't use it.

    Sorry about sounding mean.
