How Ma ny Do I Need?!?

Hi there,

So when i braid for a show my friend said that I had to many braids when I had 33 and she had 19. We were both doing geldings and I heard that they are to have 35 braids and mares are 32 braids. I don't know so I want to be sure the next time I braid to have the right amount.

So my question is how many braids are geldings and mare's supposed to have while showing hunter?

We normally say; an odd number (UK) , usually 13,15 or17.

I never actually knew there was an exact number.  Usually people just seperate 2-3 inch sections of mane and braid down the line, how ever many they get, they get.

I dont think there is a set amount of braids for a comp as long as it looks neat and symettriccal
