How To Remove Mildewy Smell?

I think I have mildew under my bed from about a month ago when our basement flooded. I need to get the smell gone. How can I do that?

If you have mildew buildup, bleach and hot water are the cures for this. But if you have carpeting, then vinegar and hot water are your best solutions. good luck.

You can put hydrogen peroxide on it. I have had to use this before. pour it on the affected area. Let it sit for 5 minutes and then suck it up with a carpet cleaner or a shop vac. If you are using a carpet cleaner, go over it a second time with hot water and vinegar in your carpet cleaner. Don't use soap! You will not get all the mold out. Good luck
