Question:

How about the rangers?

The rangers are kicking the A's butts. It's 9-3 Texas in the 8th inning. If they win tommorow they can be in good shape because next they have a 4 game series with the mariners and they will win at least 2 and probably 3 or 4. If the rangers win tomorow and 3 out of 4 against the mariners then they will be 58-51. That's incredible for the way they started off.

  1. The Angels are the best team in baseball, and are going to win the World Series. Even if the Rangers win the next 50 games and land the division, the Angels will pick up the wild card and pwn in the playoffs.

The Rangers have amazing offense though, but I think the Angels are too strong for even the Red Sox or the Rays to beat.

  2. Although they are a fellow AL west team, i've always liked the rangers..

their offense is very scary! esp this year :)

Kinsler and Young, two of my fav guys are really doing well and ripping it up

and of course Hamilton, also bradley

i think a couple of years from now they'll be giving the angels a verrry hard time and this is coming from an angel fan

  3. lol...as a mariner fan--and i believe i may very well be the last one watching them--i must take exception with your assumption the rangers will take "three or four" against seattle next week. Of course, my exception-taking does not mean i disagree with you on this matter, it just means....well, it means...um....okay okay, you're right, okay? Sheesh.

and yes, texas is a "surprise" team who's success is being overshadowed by the tampa rays. The rangers do have some good hitters but lack pitching, and i really hope they finish higher than those ugly A's. Good luck...............(until next year, lol).

  4. The Rangers are the best offense in baseball. Period. But, due to their weak pitching, that is still the Angels division this year. Looking into next year, though, Texas must acquire a true ace somehow (maybe Ben Sheets in free agency)?

They have 3, 4 and 5 starters in Kevin Milwood, Vincente Padilla and Brandon McCarthey. They need a #1 and #2. Texas is supposed to have a very good farm system, so they may want to deal for a pitcher in the offseason, too. Man, if the Rangers get an ace, watch out.

  5. I would answer. But my fellow Ranger lover above me has said all YOU AND I need to know.

g0d bless the rangers fans loving joshy.

  6. rangers ! all the way!

  7. All my family and friends know that I'm the Rangers good luck charm and when I go to the games they only lose once or twice the whole year I got and I go to 25 + games. I have tickets to 3 of the NY games,  2 tigers, Cleveland, and Seattle. So I have a VERY good feeling about this next home stand. We have great crowds every night but we need TONS more people to come out so we can get our boys pumped up about this season.

I was watching a replay from last night and one guy call us a "offense juggernaut" pretty much saying that we're unstoppable. We got several runs off on of the AL's best pitcher and this will only help our confidence.

Texas started out with a crazy record..i think it was like 8-19 or something..and came back to be a .500 team when they were already down so early. Bad news though...Millwood is on the DL (again) and will miss 2 starts. Laird will be back tommarow and Blalock has been great since he's come off.

Our offense its pretty much unstoppable but again we lack pitching. Padilla came out and pitched well last night. The starter today did well too..holding them to only 3 runs. Pitching better step up or its gonna be another Texas team with potential that wont get far because their bullpen is worn out and the starting pitching stinks.

edit: McCarthy isn't a starter..he hasnt pitched all season. He's been on the DL all year. I also agree with good guy's comment about Texas being over shadowed.

  8. the rangers are a good team with up and coming young stars. they got really good potential stars from the braves in the tex trade last year.

  9. The Rangers have ten games remaining against the Angels and have more home games remaining the rest of the year than any other team.  Clearly they control their own destiny and taking the first two against the A's is a definite step in the right direction.  If they can somehow get ANY kind of pitching the rest of the way,..they will be a force to contend against. EVERYONE knows how explosive their offense (103 RBI's for Hamilton, Chris Davis incredible slugging in the past month, and Ian Kinsler's incredible ability to set the table for everyone else).
