How about this poem?

Question

These faces aren’t the ones I want to see

Everything I do

It takes the memories away from me

I don’t want to forget you

If you could come back one more day

I’d tell you what I wanted to say

I can’t type it in email

Because the words on the screen would become stale

If you’d see me cry

And look me in the eye

And hold me through it all

You’d let the pain slip away

Right out of me

There’s too much in my mind for me to say

I need you to know

So if you were right here today

How I feel, you’d see me show

It's very heartfelt, and beautiful.. the only part I didn't like was 'I can't type it in email' ... try something more along the lines of 'i can't write it in a letter' ... sounds more mature.
