How are Mathematics & Music related?

I've got to write a ling (at least 20- pages) essay about this , i found some things , but the problem is that i have to add things on my own too things written be me..., actually i've got to examine something , or so , and i have no idea about it. like how can i find math in a piece of music???

Thanks for making such a brilliant question. I also feel that mathematics and music are closely related. But perhaps I can't explain it clearly. I'll mention only two aspects: both mathematics and music are fundamental in expressing the human mind and both have addictive powers. Therefore they're often regarded as the mother subjects.
