  1. All the school saddles where I went to college were collegiates.  They're very nice, very well made, not so expensive.  They're pretty comfortable... the ones we had were close contact, no knee rolls, so we'd always fight to get the one with the knee rolls.  But even when we'd get the others, they were ok.  I showed in a collegiate during my first year of showing.

When I was getting my saddle I was considering a collegiate.  I really wanted a Pessoa or Crosby, but the collegiate was more within my price range.  I would have bought the collegiate except that I found a great deal on a Crosby XL ($300!).  The collegiates aren't as comfortable as the Crosby or Pessoas, but they're not like sitting on rocks either.  I don't think it's anyone's goal to someday own a collegiate saddle, but they're pretty good saddles.

Boy this is nice to see So Many different people on here unless they all just changed names!!!
