How are countries grouped??

is there a formula to which certain factors of different value add up to be a certain amount..

Ex GDP = 2 /3

Healthcare= 1 /2

2+1<5 therefore it's developing

or is it just one thing alone?

    The most widely used one is the &quot;Human Development Index&quot; used by the UNDP.

    Countries are then grouped by High, Medium and Low Human Development Index. All of the Low countries are in Africa.
