How are people getting pitbulls?

Do they adopt them or something? I want one :)

pit bulls are  high maintenance and very high energy. If you are not going to take the time to Properly train and socialize one , then you should not even think of getting one . Because they can be unpredictable and highly aggressive . They need to have daily exercise or they have way to much pint up energy . Our dog is a family dog , that has been socialized and he still has moments. just do me a favor , think about it hard before you decide. If your dog gets out of the yard and harms someone , or another dog , YOU Will HAVE TO PAY for medical  expenses. Our dog has jumped through a glass window to get at a stray dog in our yard , when we were not home. So even if you think your a responsible dog owner things can happen.

Free Classifieds put in Pitbull and they come up. This is funny as they are supposed to be banned.  What the h**l do the police do to stop it.  clearly nothing.  

it's easier to get a mix breed with a pit as part of the dog.  You can actually get a Tosa mix in England but again you cannot get a pure Tosa.

There are sooo many pittbulls, especially pittbull mixes in shelters.  Go to your local one, and they cant point you in the right direction.

There are also pittbull breeders, if you want to spend some money to get your pittbull with its papers and so on.

Pittbull rescues are great, too...

Find a breeding and talk to them about the breed and read about them to be sure that is what you want.  They are very loving dogs when treated right.  Are you wanting one just to say you have a pit or do you really like the breed.

I would suggest you read about the breed and research before just getting one. Just "wanting one" isn't a good reason to own one. That's why a majority of people who own these dogs do NOT know how to take care of them correctly or do not train them properly. Then either the dog attacks someone or a dog because they didn't do any research or knew very little about the breed.

If you want to adopt one, fine. Just know that you will have to pass every test from A to Z. They want these dogs to go to the best homes especially pit bulls because they are the most abused dogs in the country. That's why they make you go threw so many tests and require things.
