How big do Jalepenos grow?

i have jalepenos at my house and they have stayed the same size now for about a week. they are like the size of a big pink eraser now. how big do they get?

  1. With plenty of sun/fert/water they can get to 3" long mabe 3/4" diameter(I'v seen them that big in stores)


  2. What variety do you have?  A 'true' jalopeno will get to about the size that you have.  Some of the newer ones -- like Mucho Nacho -- will get larger, but have less heat.

  3. The first harvest of your plants usually are smaller.  They can range from  1 1/2 inches up to 3 inches long.  The best way is to let them go until you see them just about turn to a red color then pick them.  Thats right about their maturity at the peak of their ripeness.
