How can I break plexiglass?

I'm doing a project.

They make a tool you can buy for a few dollars any where you can buy plexi. Score the plexi several times then it will snap into. You  can also use a fine tooth saw blade and just saw it into,however the blade wont be worth a putt for anything else. Good Luck.

normally plexiglass does not break, it has to be cut.  that is why it was mandated to be used in storm doors.  the only way i can think of would be to freeze it to some temp below 0

then strike it.

You can cut plexiglass with a saw. I have used a jigsaw and then used a sander to smooth the edges.

you can use a table saw if you dont care much about the saw blade

otherwise you could use a coping saw or try to score it with a utility knife and snap it
