Question:

How can I fix arch pain

My right foot has severe arch pain everytime I walk. I wore heels for like 2 days in a row and I think that's whats causing the pain, which is weird since I used to wear heels almost every day! Anyone have any suggestions?

  1. Do you have low/high arches? At my school for people with arch problems we have a taping procedure we do for them, but you can probably buy arch supports at a store.

  2. If the pain is more prevalent in the mornings or after rest periods then it is probably plantar facaitis...try orthotics...plantar facaitis never "goes away" but is treatable and manageable

  3. Better support...

  4. Could be a plantar fascitis which often lies quietly waiting for an opportunity to flare up. It is a shortening/tightening of the fascia in the sole of the foot.

Could also be slightly bruised, pulled muscles etc.

Regardless, take a water bottle and freeze it. Use the frozen water bottle to roll the arch of your foot over. It will do two things: massage your foot stretching tight fascia and also reduce the pain.

You can do this countless times over the day to make it tolerable.

If there is any concern of a fracture xrays wouldnt hurt either.

    heal well.
