How can I improve my car?

Hello, I drive a 1994 Acura Integra LS. I was wondering, what can I add to it or mod to make it a faster car, and possibly more fuel efficient.

Engine Specifications:

1.8L 142 hp I4

Horsepower 142 @ 7000 RPM

Torque (lb-ft) 125 @ 5500 RPM

Valves/Valve Configuration 16/DOHC

Displacement (cc) 1839

Bore X Stroke (in.) 3.27 X 3.35

Compression Ratio 10.0:1

Fuel Type/System Gas/MPFI

Turbocharger No

Supercharger No

I would like to get an air intake system and exhaust, but would that help? and how much would one cost? I want to get a good one.

Also, I would like to get a v-tec engine for my car, and I would like to get a turbo as well. Does anyone know where I would get all this and how much it would cost? I want to get a good deal, and I want the product to be a quality product. Thank you for all your suggestions. God Bless!!!

  1. You know they sell cars with faster engines and aerodynamics right? or are you just too slow to realize?

Just watch any kind of racing like Formula One or Le Mans and you'll know tard....

Me personally, I know any Italian bike will beat anything on the steert like any **** car that;s given....

  2. How about hanging some fuzzy dice from the mirror and calling it good? Look at the money you'll save!

  3. gsr motor - 2000 -2500

    turbo a good one - 1500-2000

if your car isnt stick i would bother even thinking of getting a swap its not worth it

  4. the intake manifold and exhaust would help as long as you got them both. you need to get air in AND out. not just "in" or just "out". vtec are good engines, its the indy car engine cut in half... but... without as much power lol. and i wouldnt recommend turbocharging unless you upgraded engine internals. stock parts normally wont hold up, and will break under the high rpm, tempertures, and pressure cause by turbo's.

oh and the intake manifold can go anywhere from $150 - $400. and a full catback exhaust will cost about $450.

  5. save up for a swap.

    swap to a GSR engine

That'd be the best to start.

Air intake & Exhaust just give better sound and maybe a little better mpg with some performance
