How can I learn this language?

My boyfriends ancestors are Ukrainian.

He REALLY wants to learn the Ukraine language.

We have tried research and the library. Nothing comes up online and the library just keeps directing him to European history, even when he specifies what he is searching for. He wants to learn the language, not its backgrounds.

Its to the point that he is willing to pay hundreds of dollars JUST to join a college class to teach him. I don't want him wasting his money for something he just wants to know for the h**l of it.

Does anyone know where we can get information on how to speak this language? Websites would be most helpful! We can't pay for any computer programs or anything of that matter.

Why not inquire in your area for any Ukrainian social clubs? Maybe that's a better way not only to get into the language but also to maintain it and have fun while you do it!

Gee, if you lived near me (Grand Valley, Ontario) I could introduce you to my sister in law (she's Ukrainian).

Ukrainian is VERY similar to russian; you might find more information about russian language rather than ukrainian.
