Question:

How can I merge two networks?

Currently I have a Wireless Network that my computer uses to successfully connect to my router. This computer is completely wireless and does not connect directly to the internet. However, I have a Local Area Network icon next to my clock that informs me I have limited or no connectivity. I know that this network is obviously not the one my computer is connecting through.

I'm tired of seeing it there and I was wondering if there was a way to merge this Local Area Network with my Wireless Network so that I have just one, working network. I'd be grateful for a step-by-step instruction, if possible.

  1. You can't merge them. You can stop notification on task bar.

1 Double click network icon with red cross.

    2 Go to property

3 stop show me the notice if it's disconnected ... (or something similar)

    4 Click OK

    Then it should be ok

  2. You can disable this LAN network or you can just remove it from your notification bar. Ill show u how to remove it from the bar

    Start>>Control Panel>>network and internet connections>>network connections

Right click the one with the yellow sign and click properties

at the bottom of that window uncheck the box saying "Notify me when this connection has limited or no connectivity"

That should fix it. Hope this helps!

  3. You can disable the one you don't want. That way your computer wont connect to that one. What you do is that you that you go down by where the time is and you click on the little computer thing with the waves. I'm sure you know how to do that. Then view networks. Get connected to the one you don't want. Then click on it again and disconnect. That way your computer wont go on that one and such.

  4. Just disable it in network connections and then it won't appear.
