  4. Practice well. Assuming you have minor to no acting experience, take classes. You're gonna want to go for little roles on less-known projects and movies for other audiences, or for perhaps commercials. You want at least a years worth of experience before attempting big roles. Keep your eyes on the auditions for the Channel in question. Also, get a really good lawyer.
