  1. watch a movie thats full of action that you like, eat food with lots of sugar, energy drinks, go run or exercise.

Stretching.  To save me the typing and you the reading, I'm going to skip mentioning the homeostatic mechanisms of the body.  When you stretch you are doing your body a great thing.  Besides the obvious reasons.  One main reason that stretching is so beneficial is because it allows for more blood to flow through the region of stretch.  Think about it as a wake up call for your body.  For example, when you stretch your legs you are providing a "blood flush/renewal".  This "flush" provides oxygen for your extremity (leg) and at the same time removes cellular wastes.  In combination of areal renewal, this simple task involves "work" which is a stimulation to the brain and body.  Hope this helps, good luck.

    P.s. I work night shift in a hospital and sometimes find it hard to stay awake.  When I feel this way, I do a body stretching session.
