Question:

How can I translate these...scripts???

I made resume for a family member and I emailed it to myself as an attachment. When I got home to open the file it wasn't showing me the resume, it was showing me weird looking "scripts". The file was made in Mircrosoft word 2003. So I downloaded the Microsoft Word Viewer 2003 and it still showed me the same scripts.

Here are what the scripts look like :`PKÙ'~S8û\ª_qÕápÃÜ=òùËfx||Ô:ßLÐþzzrø7...

What can I do to translate the scripts?? I don't want to send the resume through copy and paste because then all the formatting will... de-format itself. lol

  1. If it's made in Word'03 then email to some one who has it and then he/she can just send you the text then reformat it.

OR if you found a faster way GL.

  2. If the file is in .doc format then you should be able to view it with the word viewer. If it isn't in .doc format, then its not a word document. The problem here is probably the word viewer, so i would install a program called Abi word, and see if its the viewer's problem.

Here is the link for it: http://www.abisource.com/downloads/abiwo...

Try to open it with that, and if it still doesn't work, then the file is corrupted. You will have to email it to yourself again, and try again.
