  1. Different approaches, i.e lesson plans, should be used.

It is possible to generate similar responses from both your classes, however you should incorporate the review of basic ideas and terms to be used as a base for the class you believe is performing below expectation.

Please reference the Illinois Online Network of Education Resources, link below, good luck.

  2. You say you teach two classes, yet you have no knowledge of punctuation or capitalization?

If the others are weak and you are teaching them then it is your fault.

    You are so frustrating?

    Are you really?

I think you may well be with this poor attempt at English.

  3. I'm guessing the language you teach isn't english?

  4. First, give up the idea that the better-prepared students are any more intelligent than the ill-prepared ones. What if someone judged your intelligence on the quality of your English?? The first group has simply had more advantages or more practice than the second group, and it is your job to help them catch up.

Second, never "dumb down" your teaching to the second group believing that they are slow learners. Look for their learning style and teach to their strengths, not their weaknesses. Students who are behind need to be sped up, not slowed down. A teacher's disrespect for students creates a hostile environment and an impediment to learning.

Third, the suggestion of mixing the two groups is an excellent one. All students benefit from heterogeneous grouping and peer tutoring. The higher-performing students learn to analyze and communicate their knowledge, and the lower-performing students often learn better with peer support than just from teacher-centered methods.

  5. combine them to make a super class

  6. Mix the classes, and let the smart ones tutor the weak ones.  It'll make your job easier, too.
